Ukrainian women do not love any gold adornments. This is what some people living in Egypt think when they visit Kiev and see women without jewelry there. What makes them come to the conclusions like that?

The point is that in Egypt and some other countries a husband has a right to rapidly divorce with his wife as far as he decides. Everything he needs is to turn directly to Allah and ask Him for permission.

A woman whose husband decided to divorce is obligated to leave the house at once. Moreover, she must go away without taking anything but what she is carrying that very moment. In such a way each wife must be ready for it any time, which explains why she has to wear as much as she only can: numerous adornments, jewelry and all possible valuable.

As you can see, the procedure of divorce in that countries is not that simple for women (or maybe, on the contrary - too simple for Western people). European divorce tradition differ something from them, so does Ukrainian one.

As for Ukrainian women they have no need of wearing everything they posses and they have no reasons for fear that they can be thrown away without going into details one day. Both partners divide into equal parts what they have got since they got married and, let's hope, part friends. The husband gets his bag with a razor, a toothbrush and the promise to become everything he presented. In such a way it is in the interests of the woman not to wear everything she got as a present not to remind him about it. But let us hope for the best. Some are clever enough to draw up a marriage contract. Others are optimistic enough to believe that there are not so many mean and greedy women capable of treating their men unfairly. And after all, there are not so many men capable of taking away everything they presented and leave the wife with nothing.
